PM2.5 Mask Filters (Packs of 20)

You can now buy a pack of 20 PM 2.5 filters for your Topside Wear mask.
These filters fit into the internal pocket of our face masks and provide significantly improved filtration compared to using a face mask without a filter.
What are PM 2.5 filters?
PM 2.5 filters are a special type of high-purity polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) membrane filter designed to capture micro-particulates which are present in the air. They are similar in grade to an FFP1 mask which can help users protect themselves from airborne irritants and microbial matter.
PM 2.5 filters protect against:
- Industrial pollution
- Bacteria
- Dust
- Pollen
- Vehicle emissions
How often should I replace my face masks filter?
This depends on the level of usage, the ambient levels of pollution, hygiene levels, and the environment where the mask is used.
We recommend that you replace the filter every week or after 60 hours of use, whichever is sooner.
Will a face mask with a PM2.5 filter protect against COVID-19?
The world's authorities do not have a definite answer at present yet. However, there is a considerable body of research that suggests wearing a mask with a micro-filter in confined public settings (gym, shopping malls, public transport, etc.) greatly reduces the risks of inhaling bacteria.
People in China and Southeast Asian countries like Thailand and Vietnam have been wearing face masks with PM2.5 filters for a couple of years now due to the pollution levels in those countries. Whether they are effective in protecting you against COVID19 or not which is yet to be proven, they are definitely effective in filtering out air pollution, automobile exhaust, smog, smoke, mist, and chemicals in the air.
