_____
"Upside-Down Gratitude"
Life doesn’t always give us what we want because sometimes it gives us what we need. In order to gain strength, we need to experience pain. In order to grow, we need to go through discomfort. In order to heal, we need to stop touching the itching wound. In order to change direction, we need to be pushed out of the old path. In order to have a peace of mind, we need to cultivate patience, acceptance, understanding, and letting go.
If we learn to look at life with grateful eyes, we can see that every event in life happens to teach us something. Sometimes the lessons are bittersweet. Nonetheless, they’re part of the spiritual journey. Use this printable to help you reframe situations and learn to always look at life with grateful eyes.
_____
"The Gratitude Letter"
Use this gratitude letter to express gratitude and appreciate for the people in your life.
______
"The Gratitude Game"
Gratitude is a very powerful tool and concept. It not only turns what we already have into enough, but it also has the power to bring more good into our lives when we choose to embrace ‘giving thanks’ more and more.
Think of gratitude being similar to a powerful magnet. As we hold the magnet in our hands and give gratitude for it, we begin to attract more of what we want into our lives by way of the initial gratitude that was given. The more gratitude, the more upcoming abundance.
______
"I Am Grateful"
Use the prompts in the printable to identify the things that you are most grateful for in your life. Oftentimes, when we write things down, we become clearer on what we are grateful for. Write as many answers as you can think of for each prompt.
______
"I'm Grateful For the Lack Of"
We often think about what we’re grateful for in terms of what we’re grateful for having. But what are we grateful for lacking? The lack of something can be wonderful but we often forget to pay attention to and appreciate what we don’t have. For example, you could be grateful for the lack of illnesses. You could be grateful for the lack of drama within your family. You could be grateful for the lack of jealousy within your friendship group.
Now it's to reverse this thinking and see things from a different perspective.
