Life's a Pitch

·
Damn it, it never ends, does it.
Life is a pitch.
- Pitching to your parents that that expensive set of LEGO is worth the money.
- Pitching to Dad that Sony Walkman was the coolest thing twenty years ago.
- Pitching to Mom that the little Pomeranian’s companion was going to be the best thing ever.
- Pitching to the teacher that you have an amazing voice and please let you sing at the school fair.
- Pitching to the selective school’s admission judges to prove that you’re the cream of the crop.
- Pitching to landlords against the others who want to rent the same apartment.
- Pitching to the hiring manager in order to get the job you wanted.
- Pitching to the prospective clients in order to win their businesses.
- Pitching to your boss and your client the ideas you have for the brief.
- Pitching to the bank to approve your home loan with your credit history and track record.
- Pitching to festivals and conferences why they should pick you above the others.
- Pitching to your customers why your product is what they’ve been seeking.
- Pitching to your father and mother-in-law why they should let you marry their daughter.
- Pitching to yourself that you are capable of achieving that challenging task.
Life’s a Pitch.
We have never stopped pitching. We never will.
But are we getting better and better at it as we grow?
Or are we growing tired of it?
Life’s a Pitch.
Embrace it.
Pitch better.
Get better.
